Shopware Version 5 or 6? Our answer: Yes!
At the beginning of 2020, the first stable version of Shopware 6 was presented to the public. With the number 6, Shopware relies on a completely new technological architecture, with a newly developed core and many new features. According to the manufacturer, the proven and mature Shopware 5 will continue to receive support (bug fixes and security updates) until at least 2024.
As a Shopware user, you can therefore rely on a mature software with a huge ecosystem (plugins) without risk, depending on your use case - or you can jump straight into the latest technology with all the features needed in today's e-commerce world.
